In my country, fibers containing more than 85% polyethylene terephthalate (PET) are commonly abbreviated as "Dilun"-the colloquial term for polyester fiber. Internationally, polyester fiber is marketed under various trade names, such as "Dacron" in the United States and "Tetoron" in Japan.
Polyester fiber has a wide range of applications; it can be used independently or blended with other fibers to manufacture a diverse array of clothing, home furnishings, and industrial products.
